The recreation area "Buki" began its operations in 2009. It is a nice, quiet place for relaxation near Ventspils, where you can enjoy the peace of the Latvian countryside. The territory of the recreation area is well-maintained and offers fishing in the backyard pond, sports activities such as volleyball and basketball, as well as attractions for children such as a trampoline and swings, as well as a Mini Zoo with many different fauna.
The recreation area "Buki" is located in the Ventspils district, Vārve parish, in the Baltic Sea coastal protection zone.
The recreation area can be reached by driving along the Ventspils – Kuldīga highway. Driving from the Ventspils side, at the sixth kilometer there is a road with a sign – Recreation area “Buki” 700 m.
