Ventspils Science Center VIZIUM invites visitors to immerse themselves in the world of science this month, exploring the interactive exhibition and participating in exciting activities for the whole family. In February, a new science show “Superpowers Laboratory” is expected, the popular “Little Scientists Workshops” for preschool children will continue, and visitors will also be delighted with a special creative workshop in the spirit of Valentine's Day. Meanwhile, from February 19 to 21, VIZIUM will also be present at the exhibition “School 2026”.
In honor of the holiday of lovers, VIZIUM has prepared a special workshop “Discover the secrets of the heart”, which will take place on February 14 and 15 at 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. In this workshop, visitors will learn why the symbol of love has this shape, create a real, working model of a heart pump, explore the path of the circulatory system with robot trains, and create their own 3D heart-shaped card from origami paper. Everyone is invited to participate in the workshop – families, children, young people, friends, as well as adults!
Also, every weekend from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, a creative workshop “100 Steps to Victory” takes place, where participants must use their creativity and erudition to cope with STEM circus tasks.
In February, visitors will also be offered new science show “Superpowers Laboratory”, where the seemingly impossible will become visible before the eyes of the audience. Power, speed, light and energy will transform into amazing phenomena, making you wonder, laugh and think about what you see. Visitors will also continue to be delighted by science show "Experiment X", where you can learn about some of the elements of the periodic table, discover their properties, and see how they behave – crackle, change colors, and even burn.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the science show is available for groups of 10 or more, by reservation in advance.
There are also activities for the youngest VIZIUM guests – on weekends, the science center's lovely teachers will be waiting for them. preschool children in the “Little Researchers Workshops”In February, children will use technology to recognize different sounds, learn about animal and bird tracks, discover how animals adapt to winter, and much more. Workshops take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:
- February 7th and 8th, “Sounds in Nature”.
- February 14 and 15, “Footprints in Winter”.
- February 21 and 22, “Winter Guests”.
- February 28 and March 1, “Nature Awakens”.
