This will certainly be the Baltic freeski and snowboard epicenter whilst this weekend one of the craziest and most unforgettable weekends in the 2011/12 season.
The large high quality snowboard terrain park has been designed by the Baltic Snowpark Agency specifically for the above events on the new extended slope of Ski Hill "Lemberga hute".
The 18th February event will undoubtedly feature high quality organization and is shaping up to be a truly exciting competition for the Latvian Cup provided by the Latvian Ski Association, as well as prize-money (total sum LVL 1500) sponsored by Aivars Lembergs. The event will take place thanks to the cooperation between "Ride in Baltics", Ventspils municipality, Olympic Centre "Ventspils" and the Latvian Ski Association.
The other high quality event slated for February 19, which is intended for snowboarders only, is the well-known and long-established "Burton Rookie Tour". The competition for the Ride in Baltics (RIB) Tour champion's title is still ongoing and it is very important for riders to be in Ventspils to achieve a victory!
RIB Freeski Ranking leader Edvards Lansmanis and RIB Snowboard Ranking leader Artūrs Cukunde, as well as many other Baltic top riders have so far applied to take part in the event, which means that you should also participate. Registration is already open. Don't miss your chance!
