50th Anniversary of the Seaside Open Air Museum (1962-2012)

During the exciting anniversary week, the museum will officially open the Lielirbe Baptist Prayer House and hold several exhibitions, including "Little Cannes Film Festival".

On Saturday, June 2, Ventspils beach will again fly the Blue Flag and celebrate the Blue Flag Festival with a rich programme of entertainment.

International Knight Tournament "Lilium Wyndaviensis 2012"

For two days in June, the courtyard of Livonian Order Castle is full of 13th–14th century romantics (members of medieval war clubs) who are fighting, winning and feasting. Everything happens for real!

Adventure Park Half Marathon

This is the largest running event in Ventspils, which has become a tradition and will be held for the third time in a row. The Adventure Park Half Marathon is also open to satellite racers, Nordic walkers, and children (they can run special distances appropriate for them).

Līgo and Midsummer Celebration

Midsummer is the time Ventspils offers a rich and varied programme of festive activities.

Extreme Sports Festival

During the three days of Extreme Sports Festival, Ventspils will become the extreme sports capital of Latvia. Competitions are scheduled to take place in the Skate Park of Olympic Centre "Ventspils" and the Adventure Park, including street basketball and football tournaments, etc.

Cow Parade – 10

This summer, Ventspils streets, squares and parks will again be decorated with 24 colorful and diverse CowParade Ventspils 2012 sculptures marking the tenth anniversary of Cow Parade Ventspils 2002 events.
